Advent Calendars!

Tuesday, November 23, 2010 |
I REALLY need an advent calendar!  I have been looking for one that would suit me for a long time now, and luckily my sister found one for me (at the thrift store)!  It just needs a major makeover!!!  But I am out of a vehicle for a month and can't seem to get anything done about it.  I may have to leave it until next year and work on something simpler this year.  But I was devouring the web looking for some, and there were so many great ones I had to share!!!

These cute little craft tins are fun because you can fill them with goodies or little notes.

This one was made out of a cookie pan.  All the little decals are magnets!

Note cards that have little ornaments hung off them are so fun.  You can decorate the tree as the month moves on.

Now, I thought this was an absolute cute idea!!!  And this is something I can do without heading out to the store!  I have been digging through my kids sock drawers to see what I can come up with.  Don't you love this?

Again, with the little containers!  I like to fill mine with holiday things to do.

This tree is sweet with little treats attached, and notes.

If all else fails with my advent calendar ideas, I DO have scrapbook paper.  And I do think this is a really cute and simply advent.

Now THIS looks fun!!  I am so curious as to what are in these fun little boxes!!

Buckets!  This is fun looking too.  And I know just where to get the buckets!

I love how exciting all these advent calendars look with their little surprises peeking out of them.

This is another cute way to organize the buckets.  And this one looks so fun too!!!  Which one would you pick?

All I can say to this is YUM!!

So, I am thinking the buckets, cards or socks will be what I can manage this year.  Aren't they all so cute!

What does your advent calendar look like?

If you don't have one, which one on this list is your favourite?

I have one similar to the top one, just not so colourful. I put pieces of paper in each little container with some sort of christmas activity to do, service project or treat to count down until Christmas. The kids love it.
Nice compilation of different advent calendar ideas.

All of those are such cute ideas! If you have to wait till next year, then you will have ALL year to work on it and I bet it will be super fabulous!

I love your sock advent calendar. What a cute and easy idea! I made my own recently out of circular boxes. Check it out if you have a second. http://www.oursevendwarfs.com/2010/12/christmas-advent-board-tutorial.html
